A refined online shopping experience designed for wine lovers.
Le French Wine Shop by Vin Sur Vingt Wine Bars is a respected French wine group in New York. As the catalog and customer base grew, their existing Magento website became limiting from both a UX and business perspective.
The goal was clear: migrate to a more flexible platform, elevate the brand experience online, and make it easier for customers to discover, understand, and purchase wine. Afluo handled the full transition, from strategy and UX to design and Shopify development.
The website was redesigned to better reflect LFWS’s positioning as a curated, expert-driven wine destination. Typography, colors, spacing, and imagery were refined to feel premium but approachable, aligning the online experience with the in-store brand.
We reworked the site architecture to reduce friction and cognitive load. Customers can now browse wines intuitively by region, grape, style, price, or occasion, with a structure designed to scale as the catalog grows.
Wine discovery is about education as much as commerce. Content-rich layouts highlight producers, regions, tasting profiles, and food pairings, helping customers feel confident in their choices while reinforcing LFWS’s expertise.

To support a growing catalog, we implemented multi-level filtering that allows users to narrow results quickly without losing context. Filters are optimized for usability and SEO, improving both conversion and organic discoverability.
The Wine Club was integrated directly into the Shopify site with its own landing page, clear tier positioning, and dedicated product flows. This allows members to understand benefits quickly while keeping the experience consistent with the main shop.
The platform was built to support recurring subscriptions, member-only products, and exclusive access. The structure allows LFWS to evolve toward features like delivery history, curated monthly selections, and personalized member experiences.
All UX and UI work was designed in Figma, enabling a clean design system, consistent components, and a mobile-first approach across the site.
